PROM!

Hey there it’s me again!

So today I wanted to write a wee post about my prom just telling you all a bit about my day like a day in the life prom edition – 1. Cause I think it will be fun for you to read and 2. Cause I will like to have this to look back on! So here goes hope you enjoy!

My prom was on the 11th of June at a fancy hotel in my city.

My day began at about 10am when I got up; I then had breakfast and showered ready for my exciting day!

Then me and my friends exchanged excited texts about the night ahead, I watched some Netflix and YouTube videos until it was time to go get my makeup done!

My appointment was at 3pm at a local beauty salon, I was really nervous at first but I’m so happy with how my makeup turned out I asked for quite a bold gold smoky eye and she did it perfectly! It was Β£28 including the nicest false eyelashes! 😍

image

Then once that was done I got the bus back home – on which I was stared at horribly for having a heavy face of makeup and messy hair and my usual causal clothes on. πŸ˜‚

It was now about 4pm and my sisters and my niece came up to my house to help me get ready. My niece painted my nails a lovely gold colour (gold was my theme sorta thing😜) and then my two sisters curled my hair. (Which was great and lasted all night and I didn’t even have to pay for a hairdresser to do it!)

Then I got dressed – My dress was from Chi Chi London Β£65 , Clutch from New Look Β£12.99, Shoes from Tesco (πŸ˜‚ don’t judge they r nice!) Β£20, Necklace from Tesco Β£8 and a black shawl which I borrowed from my sister.

image

Then we took lots of photos and at quater past six my friends arrived and we headed to prom!(as we were all getting a car to prom together) oh and before I forget we don’t really do the whole prom date thing we all just go with our friends and the very little amount of people who are in relationships go together as well as staying in their friendship groups too. 😊

We got there at about ten to seven, and we were only allowed in at seven, so we took the time to take LOTS of photos and selfies together! πŸ˜‚

image

Once we were finally let in we took even more photos cause the place was done up so nicely with fairy lights, balloons and a red carpet! πŸ˜„ As well as this we all were talking to each other and checking out what everyone else was wearing!

Then it was time for the meal which I was not looking forward to as I’m such a fussy eater! But I have to say I was pleasantly suprised the starter and dessert were amazing and I ate about half of the main as I didn’t really like it but I was glad I at least tried it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹

image

After we ate me and my friends went to the photo both thingy and got lots of funny pics done, it was so much fun that we kept coming back to it all night!

Then the rest of the night was spent drinking Pepsi and dancing to some good songs and some really bad “ned anthems” πŸ˜‚ (I think neds are a Scottish thing Idk do you even know what that means?!) We danced that much our feet were actually killing us afterwards!

image

Then a glass got smashed on the dance floor, drunk people were grinding each other on a pillar, more drunk people were doing the snake on the floor in ballgowns and me and my friends (who were some of the only sober ones there) laughed at the drunk, danced for ages and had the best night ever!!!

We said our goodbyes to teachers and fellow students as this would be the last time we ever see most of them! We stayed right until the end which meant we left at 12pm and I got home at about 20 past 12.

I then told my mum and dad all about my night, spent ages taking my makeup off and trying to brush a sh*t tone of hairspray out of my hair! I was then going to go to bed but instead like the idiot I am at 1am I watched four episodes of Gavin and Stacey πŸ˜‚

Which meant I ended up not sleeping until half four πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ whoops

And that was my day!!!

image

I had an absolute blast and couldn’t have asked for a more amazing prom since here in Scotland we only get one prom I’m glad I made it a great one!!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜„ Wish I could do it all again tho 😭

Thanks for reading this and please like and comment down bellow – how was your prom if you’ve had one before, or are you excited to go to your prom in the future and what’s prom like where you are from?

Give me a follow too and don’t forget to go follow me on Instagram and Twitter too, it’s @fangirling_owl on both!

Storytime Sundays – My YouTuber Book CollectionΒ

Hey!! Sorry for only getting round to post till Sunday this week but I was super busy with school and the weekend is the best time for posting and I’m really trying to write in advance but didn’t get a chance to recently but anyhow!! Got my mock exam results back and I got 3 A’s and a C so yeah super happy cause the C was in my hardest class which I’m surprised I even passed tbh

So today I’m basically showing you all my YouTube related books I have read some of them but this is just a wee overview and I might do a review next week of one of them or another book I have read πŸ˜„

Let’s goooo……

1. Zoella – Girl Online

This was the first YouTuber book I bought and despite all the drama of people saying she didn’t write it, I still like it! To be fair it’s super childish but so am I so I didn’t really mind πŸ˜‚ Also I got to get it signed by Zoe and meet her for like 30 seconds which was amazing!!! However, I really didn’t feel the need to get the second one that came out recently as it’s probably not any better than the first!

image

2. Sprinkle of Glitter (Louise Pentland) – Life with a sprinkle of glitter & her 2016 Diary!

Sprinkle of glitter is my all time favourite YouTuber so when I saw she was bringing out 2 books I knew I needed to have them! I love her life with a sprinkle of glitter book as it gives you some great tips and advice. I also love the diary and use it everyday as each week it has a fun thing on the other page like DIY’s, tips, motivation or any other random fun thing!!!

image

3. Tanya Burr – Love Tanya

This is such an all round good book! It has many different sections like confidence and happiness, life and baking. It’s also got a little bit of a background into Tanya at the start which is lovely and the pictures are beautiful!

image

4. Dan and Phil – The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire!

Ufgghscggfuhhdhd I love Dan and Phil!!!! I got this at their tour – which was also amazing – sadly I didn’t get to meet them we were able to buy them signed at the tour! It’s amazing as it is a full on life story of them both right from when they were born, all through childhood, school up till now! It’s funny and really well written and it feels like I can hear them saying the words as I read it as its so genuine.

image

5. Pointless Blog (Alfie Deyes) – The Pointless Book 1 & 2

These are a blatant copy of ‘Wreck this journal’ but oh well!!! They are fun and a good thing to do when bored! As they have a task on each page which could be writing stuff in the book, doing stuff outside of the book (like impressions) and destroying the book!

image

6. Carrie Hope Fletcher – All I Know Now

I love Carrie so I asked for her book for Christmas and I got it! I have started to read it and so far it’s great! She is a theatre star which is why the book is layed out like Acts instead of chapters. It gives you good advice as well as funny anecdotes of her life!

image

7. Tyler Oakley – Binge

I haven’t started to read this one yet as I just got this one for Christmas too but even without reading it I know it will be amazing!!! It’s basically an autobiography of Tyler’s life with lots of laughs throughout as well as some sad parts! Can’t wait to read it properly!

There ya go! Hope you liked having an insight into all my YouTubers books I love supporting team internet so I hope to add many more to my collection!

Please don’t forget to like, gimme a follow and comment; do you have any of these books?, what other YouTubers books do you have? Or what’s your favourite YouTubers book?

Whatever Wednesday – My Colouring Book AddictionΒ

Hey! I’m back for my second post this week all about that weird craze that recently popped up which is adult colouring books. (Not that kind of adult!) They are basically regular colouring books except some are very detailed and complex as well as the fact they aim to relax you and calm the mind.

So I have picked up a couple recently and want to share them with you *in blog form not physically soz πŸ˜‚* I will show you my top 5 favourite ones I have so here goes hope you enjoy!

1. Millie Marotta’s Animal Kingdom a Colouring Book adventure – Β£9.99
image
It includes all different types of animals like fish, birds, mammals, reptiles as well as trees and flowers too! Which are made up of intricate patterns for your creativity to be put to the test. The illustrations begin quite simple and progress to extremely detailed patterns within the images which is good as it eases you into it gently and then challenges you later. I enjoy colouring the less detailed ones more to be honest as the harder ones just make me more stressed trying to colour within the lines rather than relaxing me! Still really love it though highly recommend it such intricate and detailed drawings and pretty to look at even before you start colouring them!

20160104_211006.jpg

These are the easy and simple options in the book yet are still really detailed and soo cute!!!

20160106_173330.jpg

SUPER CRAZY DETAILED ILLUSTRATION!!!

Here’s one really pretty one of an owl that I have started but not finished yet – I used watercolour pencils from WHSmith with came in a set of arond 36 I think and were fairly cheep less than Β£10. They are seriously the best pencils to use for this kind of thing; they give a great colour, are easy to blend and create different gradients of colours.

20160106_173652.jpg
I would give it 4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟

2. Harry Potter Colouring Book – Β£9.99

20160104_210357.jpg

Absolutely love this one as it includes scenes from the film, character shots, creatures and iconic things from the film used to create patterns. This is much easier I think than the previous one but still has the range of easy one and harder ones. It’s really interesting seeing one of my favourite films turned into a colouring book but one negative is that with the illustration below I would find it seriously hard to colour all the way into the centre where the spine of the book is so I think it would look pretty strange but we shall see not attempted one of the big ones yet! What’s also good about this one is there is coloured photos at the back of most illustrations in the book to act as a guide when you are colouring them which is super helpful!

20160104_211200.jpg20160104_211425.jpg

Here’s one I’m almost finished and I loveeeee it the pencils make it even better I think! The thing I love most about these books is the fact the images look so good untouched but have the potential to look soooo much better just with a bit of imagination!

20160106_173924.jpg

 I have to give this one a 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

3. Doctor Who colouring book – Β£9.99

20160104_205818.jpg

I’m a total whovian so anything with a tadrdis on it has to be mine but I just lovveeeeeeee this!!! It has patterns created by characters from the show and again range from simple to more detailed. There’s sooo may great choices in this one that it’s hard to know where to start which is defo not a bad thing! My absolute favourite thing about it is the fact it has illustrations of some of the Doctors heads but they are made up by characters and creatures iconic to there seasons!!!! This is one of the books that I’m scared to start colouring in as I don’t want to ruin it!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I aslo use these Stabilo fineliners when colouring in as they are sooo good at getting into the intricate sections in the drawings and are really good quality for around Β£10 for 20.
image

image
I have got to give this a 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

4. The gorgeous colouring book for grown-ups – Β£9.99

20160104_210303.jpg

This has much more patterns and swirls and shapes and intricately detailed images. It has a range of flower designs to graphic designs. This is one that actually could be relaxing I think as there’s less worry too me that I’m going to ruin my favourite film, TV show or beautiful animal so I think this one wins on that front but honestly it’s not THAT appealing just a bunch of shapes and swirls but I guess once coloured it would look super cool!

20160104_211601.jpg

20160104_211531.jpg
This is one that I started to colour in really bold and bright colours and I think once finished it will look really effective I love the way in this book the illustrations don’t go all the way into the centre so you are able to reach and colour ever inch of the image!

20160106_174122.jpg

This one deserves a 3/5 🌟🌟🌟 good but a bit meh!

5. Colouring book from Tiger (between Β£2-4 can’t remember! πŸ™„:oops:πŸ˜›)

20160104_210423.jpg

This is from a shop that opened in my area recently and I have quickly grown to be obsessed by its contents I think it’s origionally from another country not sure wihpch though but they have really cheep quirky good quality stuff in there so I luv it! πŸ˜‚ This one is by far the simplest out of the five but it is also one of the best as it really does relax you as its sooo much less interactive so not worried about going over the lines and the patterns are easier to follow and smaller so quicker to finish! Plus it’s the cheepest so is good to start out on your colouring book journey!

20160104_211627.jpg20160106_173131.jpg

This is one I have actually finished using felt tip pens I got in WHSimth as well it was a pack of about 100 for Β£5 in the sale it has really good colours that are perfect for this book they are bright and have fine tips so could be used in more detailed books too. I like this image as it has really interesting shapes and once all coloured looks really eye catching.

20160106_173758.jpg
This book is well deserved of a 5/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I highly reccomend buying these all particularly the Animal Kingdom one if you want to be really challenged and produced really high quality work in the end or if you want a bit of fnu that’s simple and quick the gorgeous colouring book for grown-ups or the colouring book from Tiger. I absolutely love taking time out of my day when I can to sit down a be like a kid again colouring away in a book and yet in the end you can be left with a stunning piece of art made by an adult worthy of a place on your fridge if you where a kid or a couple likes on Instagram if you are older!!  πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
So there you go hope you liked that kind of post please don’t forget to like and comment; do you like these kinds of colouring books too?, do you have any of these? Or do you have any other recommendations 0f colouring books for me to try out?! Also give me a cheeky follow if you haven’t allready! You know you want to πŸ˜‹

Christmas Gift Guide 2015

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!”

Omg guys howΒ is it already the first of December!!! Can’t wait till Christmas it’s only 24 days away! Super excited! I was whole heartedly considering blogmas but I was already crap at posting so I decided against it and thought I should just try post weekly again πŸ˜‚ so I thought I would do a gift guide post as I know I never have any inspiration or clue what to get anyone so doing this will help me and hopefully help some of you too!!

Hers/Mum/Sister/Friend Β

  • A cute calander personalised with pictures of you, them and some other loved ones – Photobox and Vistaprint are my go to websites that do these as well as Moonpig or Funky Pigeon 😁
  • Β A nice winter scarf – my mum and sisters love scarves so much so buying them one always goes down well
  • Makeup – depending if they are into it – I like to get my friends or sisters either a specific high street product they have asked for or sometimes I treat them to a luxury item that I know they have had their eye on for a long time!
  • A pamper hamper – fill a box or hamper with any of these things; their favourite lush product like a bath bomb etc, shower gel, perfume, face mask, lip balm, body scrub, body moisturiser, their favourite treat like a sweet or chocolate bar, a fuzzy pair a slipper socks, a hand cream or nail polish among my mannyyyy other things!!! This is one of my favoutie thing to buy for people as they get to try lots of new things out plus get somethings they already love and mainly cause they can treat themselves to a well deserved pamer session!!
  • Or if your too lazy for that you could gift them a Spa Day voucher – you could go along to it with them and make it a nice wee day out or let them take a friend
  • Make a hot chocolate set – I’m making my niece one this year and all you do is buy a nice Christmassy mug, fill it with varieties of mini hot chocolate sachets, pop some marshmallows in there, a wee candy cane and some of their favourite sweets!
  • Jewellery – this is versatile as I got my niece a unicorn necklace and then bought my friend some really nice silver earrings so it’s super easy to find something for everyone in this category!
  • A new 2016 diary or planner so they can organise the year ahead of them! I always get my sisters a diary so it’s definitely a present anyone of either gender would appreciate.
  • A subscription to a magazine or a monthly boxΒ – be it beauty or pet or food etc this website has every option in the uk hereΒ – it means they not only get a single pres t on Christmas Day but a gift that keeps on giving every month or depending how long you get it for! 😜
  • STATIONARY! – I like buying my mum some fancy pens and pretty notebooks for my sisters as they are seriously obsessed with them just like me!!!

His/Dad/Brother/Friend

  • “Experince days” which is when you can buy fun things for them to do like a super car driving experince or adventure activities like zip wire or clay pigeon shooting amount lots of other things – buyagift.com is a really good website for this which we used to get my uncle a driving experience day!
  • A new wallet – like a really nice leather one or a personalised one or one with something they like on it – what I mean is last year I got my dad a wallet with batman on it cause he loves comics especially batman and superman!
  • A smelly set – that sounds stupid but just like for girl you could get a guy some shower gel, deodorant, shaving foam, aftershave/cologne, moisturiser and lots of other facial cleansing or just general skincare products as men are much more aware and intrested into these things now! Which is great!
  • A DVD or CD of his choice as I know my dad is never tired of purchasing every single film that comes out 😜 and they can get lots of use and enjoyment out of it as if you ask them suttlely if there’s anything new out the want film or music wise then you will know exactly that they will love what you get them!
  • A watch – there’s obviously some that are too expensive but you could get a reasonably priced one easily or you could go halfway with another family meaner or friend to get them that one luxury branded watch they might really want and Im sure they would be really surprised and thankful!
  • A book – again this is total gender neutral you can buy anybody a book it’s really simple if you know what genre they like pick sometching obscure within it so they can try something new or something they’ve been wanting Β and they are sure to enjoy it and take time out to have a read and relax
  • One of the new matureΒ colouring books and a set of really good pens or pencils – they have really pretty ones like enchanted forest and underwater themed ones as well as Harr Potter and Doctor Who ones!! Which is obviously for both genders too as I know I would love to receive one πŸ˜‚
  • Β A hobby related gift like a gardening set or a little spice set if they love cooking which they will really enjoy using and won’t ignore like some of the silly presents they might get!
  • Or if they are lazy and you know they are not into cooking you could get them a voucher for a meal out so they can enjoy a night out on you! Or you could treat you dad to boyfriend etc to little DIY coupons in which one of them could be you make him a meal as well as free hugs or dishes on me or you have control of the TV remote etc which is super fun and a personal gift they are sure to love!
  • Clothes – be that a new pair of Pyjamas, or a smart shirt or a funny t-shirt or a new pair of their favourite jeans as that’s my go to present for my dad! Or a really boring set of socks could be really good if you get Star Wars or Game of thrones ones if that’s what they are into or whatever else they like!!!

There you go hope you enjoyed that and please remember to like and comment; Have you started your Christmas shopping? Do you know what your getting for everyone? And What do you want for Christmas?Β

Also don’t forget to give me a follow if you enjoy my posts!!!

Yours,

November In A Nutshell

Hey!

I haven’t posted since the end of last month so I thought I would write about everything I’ve been doing in the last month! So that I can get back into this blogging malarkey 😜 Here goes hope you enjoy and soz for being away so long!

Halloween
🌟At school me and my friends dressed up for the fancy dress day – I was a creepy doll they were a witch and a deer! We spent days before it trying to decide what we were going to be this was done by watching about a million youtube Halloween makeup tutorials and costume idea videos. In the beginning I was going to be a vampire but the tutorials were sooo difficult and the easy ones didn’t look good so I gave up and decide to be a creepy doll which I found a really good tutorial for on YouTube – was really proud of it not gonna lie! Here’s a picπŸ˜‚ – What did you guys go as for Halloween?
image

School
🌟Oooommggggg…… Well this past month at school we have been applying for university and college which consists of writing about a million drafts of a personal statement, checking obsessively about how I spell my name and address and email in the application form! It was soo scary putting in all my apllications 😰😱😭 I applied for business in various universities and the one course I’m most excited about is International Fashion Branding becuase it seems so interesting and would love to learn more about marketing in that industry!!! Also all our teachers are screaming at us about our mock exams that are coming soon and I’m really really really not prepared for any of themmmmmm!!!!! But I’m sure it’ll be fine πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Also as this is my lasy year in secondary school we are organising and paying for super exciting things like prom – aahhhhh I’m sooo excited!!!!! – and a yearbook!!! I really can’t wait to see if I get into university! Is anyone else going through this too? What are you wanting to do? Or if you have been to university whay did you study? cause I would love to know!

Family
🌟This month my nephew Ben is 11 months old!!! I can’t quite believe that feels like yesterday he was born! Now he is crawling, climbing, standing, trying his hardest to walk and is about to start nursery!!!!!! It’s crazy how fast time flies!! Also me my sister and my niece started to make my sisters wedding invitations and they are looking amazing I would show you a photo but she doesn’t want anyone to see them before they get sent out! (Basically they are very classic and white with a pop of colour) Is there anything exciting happening within your family at the moment?

Christmass
🌟 OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! !!!!!! MYYYY!!!!! GOSHSHS! It’s literally less than a month till Christmas and if you can’t tell I’m super excited!!! Me and my mum started our Christmas shopping a couple weeks ago and I’m so happy with what I have so far – got most of my dad’s and sisters presents but need to get everyone else’s!!! Is it just me or do you sometimes just have no clue what to get anyone and then you ask them and they say “I don’t know… I don’t really need anything… I don’t mind what I get …” (or variations of the above mentioned) which is sooo annoying as I know have to completley guess what I’m buying them but I suppose that’s part of the fun of Christmas!!! What do you guys want for Christmas? PLUS if you know of any good posts on gifts ideas then do let me know cause I need all the help I can get!! πŸ˜‚ *even if it’s your own post 😜

Duke of Edinburgh
🌟I swear I’ve been going on about Duke of Edinburgh for years now but finally it has come to an end as last week my group went to the city wide awards ceremony where we were given a badge (which im in love with) and a cerificate! embarrassing story alert On my way to collect the award I tripped up on the step and fell onto a girl from my school in front of me who turned around and glared at me and I was just standing there saying sorry and pretending I was okay when my leg and foot were actually physically dead … yup was really un – fun!! Apart from that it was a really good night!!!

My favessssssss
🌟TV- Recentley fell back in love with Once Upon a Time as its on Netflix I started it from all the way back to the beginning and I’m now just on around episode four of season four – so don’t spoil anything please!! – and it’s soooo good the last time I watched it was when it was actually on TV for the first time and I saw up to season two but stopped … now I wish I stuck with it cause it’s sooo good!!!!! Also, for those in the UK my favourite show started back last week called “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here” and I absolutely love it Ant and Dec are my favourite presenters and I love the trials they do!!! this year I really hate Lady C – if you watch it please tell me you do too!?!?!? If you’ve never heard of it I highly reccomend it!!! basically celebrities are sent to a jungle in Australia and have to do trials and stuff to earn food and the public vote for who does each trial and who gets evicted and then eventually who is king or queen of the jungle!!!

🌟Music- “Made in the AM” by One Direction – I can’t hide it anymore I’m completely obsessed with 1D!!! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œ I particularly love Olivia and End of the day and Never enough!!!

🌟Book- The Amazing Book is Not on Fire – love love love love love Dan and Phil total plan shipper not gonna lie!!! It’s a really good book too tho! 😁😁😁

🌟YouTube- Living Rosa – Please please please go and watch these two amazing women called Tara and Mandi!!!! I have been following their journey to motherhood for quite a while now and Mandi has finally given birth to their daughter Lennon Ray Rosa and I couldn’t not be happier for them – their family is super cute and I absolutely love them to bits!!! πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§πŸ˜πŸ€—

And that is pretty much my last month in a few hundred words!!!!!!!

There you go hope you enjoyed that and please remember to like and comment; please answer as many of my questions throughout as possible love hearing what you guys think and are up to! Also don’t forget to give me a follow if you enjoy my posts!!!

Really want to do some Christmas posts next month so keep your eyes peeled for them … And also thanks for not leaving me and not caring that I’m the worst poster ever …. Love ya lots

P.s.- if there’s a million spelling mistakes in this then sorry I’m super awful at spelling 😭😭😭 I do proof read my posts but sometimes I fail miserably lol

September Music Playlist

Last Post –Β Beauty Wishlist

………………………………………………………………..

So its pretty much what the title says … I will be telling you 10 songs that I have been loving this month and will continue to listen to for the next wee while πŸ™‚

1) Taylor Swift – Wildest Dreams

  • I can’t say I have ever been a big fan of Taylor Swift but in the last few weeks I’ve become obsessed with her 1989 album in particular her latest release of Wildest Dreams as its so catchy and I love the music video for it!

2) One Direction – Drag Me Down

  • What can I say …… Well I hated one direction …. But deep down I have always liked them I guess because when I heard this song I became obsessed with their album Four and was absolutely gutted when Zayn left and then when they said they will be “having a break/ splitting up” πŸ˜‚ just as I start to like them they bloody stop being a band

2) Hobbie Stuart – How You Love It

  • IM IN LOVE WITH HIM ….. Excuse me …. I mean he has a beautiful face … ahafshsjgsf … I mean voice! If you haven’t heard of him he uploads covers and originals on YouTube and I highly reccomend you go listen to them!!!!! This a song he wrote himself and it’s so good! Just as good as music that is in the charts today like “popular music” if you know what I mean 😜

4) McFly – Love Is On The Radio

  • This is an oldie but a goodie!!! From two years ago before McFly turned into McBusted and I love it despite it being very different to the older songs they sang it’s still one of my favourites! I have been going through a phase of constantly listening to McFlys songs and I’m sure I will be in this phase for quite a while!

5) The Weekend – Can’t Feel My Face

  • At first a very confusing song … Like … Why can he not feel his face?!?!?!?!? But it’s just grown on me and will be stuck in my head for ages!!! Never heard of “The Weekend” before this song but look forward to hearing more of their songs if they are as good as this one 😊

6) Omi – Cheerleader

  • This was the song of my summer and I still haven’t let it go it’s just sooooooo good!!! Probably like marmite you love it or hate it but I love it!!! He brought out a new song recently called Hoolahoop it’s a bit” mehh πŸ’πŸΌ” but it’s good I guess I don’t think he will have a hit as good as Cheerleader tbqh 😁

7) Jason Derulo – Want To Want Me

  • I’m an all time lover of Jason Derulo and this song just adds to my love of him. I have all his albums and just love him 😍😍😍😍😍😍

8) Demi Lovato – Cool For The Summer

  • I have liked Demi Lovato since her days on Disney but she has grown and become so much better! She struggled with eating disorders and anxiety in the past which is really sad – but she seems so happy now and I hope she is. I heard this song could be hinting at her sexuality but it doesn’t matter ( as in she can love or experiment with whom she likes) it’s still a great wee song πŸ˜†

9) Big Bang – Lets Not Fall In Love

  • Now … It’s about time I tell you guys … I love Kpop!!!!! And Big Bang are my favourite Korean pop boy group!!!! I know all the members names which sounds stupid but I took me so long and I love them all – this is a new song released recently as part of their new album called “Made” they have very different music styles between songs as this one is slower and others a more faster and full of rapping. Β (Please go listen to some KPop if you haven’t already!!)

10) Girls Generation – You Think

  • Again they are another KPop group but this time it’s girls (duh the name is a big giveaway πŸ˜‚) and this is also new song part of their come back – and is soooo good!!!!! I love the music video so much and they all look amazing! I’m still trying to learn of their names though πŸ˜…

There you go hope you enjoyed that and please remember to like and comment; Have you been obssesing over any of these songs too? Or What else have you been listening to so far this month? & Who is your favourite singer/band? Would really love to know πŸ˜„ plus I reccomend having a listen to any of these songs you haven’t heard before!!!

London

Hey!

I wasn’t really sure what kind of post I should write about London as all I knew was that I definitely wanted to write AΒ post related to my school trip to London in any way shape or form … so I decided to tell you about five of the best and worst parts of the trip!

Best

image

  1. I would have to say the overall highlight of the trip was getting to spend time with my friends and just having such a laugh. Throughout the trip we didn’t stop laughing and for me that’s what made it so special and memorable. We laughed even when we were up far too early to have the most horrific shower of our lives – the room was flooded and that’s all I will say – and we even had fun when we had to eat out at an awful restaurant which burnt the chicken.
  2. This leads on to the next point which is when me and my friends played Cards Against Humanity,Β in our tiny allotted section of free time one day, it was the most fun game ever but equally the most disturbing and vile thing I have ever seen in my life! if you don’t know what it is its basically a card game where you are have black and white cards, in each round, one player asks a question from a black card, and everyone else answers with their funniest white card which have random,Β creepy and down right scary things written on them. I know it doesn’t sound it but its actually a hilarious game!
  3. Another amazing part of the trip … and technically the main reason for going to London … was when we went to see spectacular theatre performances! We saw High Society on the first night which was VERY AMERICAN not in a bad way its just the only way I can describe it; but it really was an amazing show with a great cast, wonderful music and most importantly a really good story with a perfect ending!!! Then the next day we saw King John in the Shakespeare Globe theatre, which to my surprise was very interesting and not as hard as I expected to understand the only down side was it was far too long and we had to stand through the whole thing. Later on that day we saw Peter Pan in Regents Park Open Air Theatre which was my favourite one by far!!! It was so magical and it was very different from any rendition of the classic Peter Pan I have ever seen but it was night time outside so it got bloody cold! Finally we saw The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time, this was also an amazing play as it was so emotional yet so funny at the same time and had a really good twist in the story. Also it was based on a book, that I bought as soon as I got home from the trip and I’m now half way through it and I highly recommend it to all of you!!!
  4. Also one of my favourite experiences of the trip to London was going shopping on Oxford street. I spent far too much money but I didn’t even care as I got to go to the Disney store where I had to buy a few soft toys for me and my niece, then we went to Lush and bought a bag full of amazingness, then we hunted down Forbidden Planet with the aid of Google maps where I bought lots of stuff related to Doctor Who, Marvel, Harry Potter and a fathers day present for my dad, and finally the addiction to buying London souvenirs was too real for me as I got 4 magnets, 2 key rings, a scarf, a notebook and a badge all with LONDON sorta things on them … totalling Β£100 … approximately … that also includes a couple of McDonald’s for lunch some days and every drink I bought when I was there!
  5. Finally I loved the feeling of being independent. It was so good to be able to arrange my own room and sort out when and where things were happening as well as just walking around with my friends when and where we wanted … but don’t get me wrong I missed and love my mum and dad very much!!!

Worst

image

*don’t associate this picture of the Peter Pan set & theatre with the title for the “worst” section as in fact Peter Pan was one of the best parts of the trip just was doting the pictures around instead of having them all at the end!

  1. THE TUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well all I can say is that I will never by choice use the London underground again it was just far too scary, hot, crowded and had my worst nightmare escalators – its just the down ones that I’m petrified ofΒ –Β and they were stepper and longer than ever… Not to mention the fact the doors of the tube just close unexpectedly and without warning when people are still trying to clamber onto the carriage; my first hand experience with these doors went like this … my group was rushing to get on but we were not fast enough I was shoved on and thrown into another group of people from my school my friends arm was almost caught in the door and another person was almost fully trapped in the doors, so yeah we were scared for life.
  2. This links to the fact London was full of creepy people… from pick pockets to drunk people London had it all we were approached on various occasions by men wanting money, strange men just wandering round us and a drunk group of men and women shouting about their dog and singing a song to us. Then there was the pickpockets we saw a lot … there was the “bumper-into-er” this guys who would walk into people by accident and just happen to acquire their belongings the there was the “Gang” the name says it all really and we saw the best of them all the “hander-in-pocket-of-stranger-when-passing-in-the-street-er” basically a man walked beside this women and stole something out of her pocket when they were just crossing the road… thankfully it didn’t happen to me or anyone from my school.
  3. The mornings… I’m NOT a morning person so usually I have a while to adjust before I have to deal with other humans but there I had to be ready right away which was hard since every morning I slept in past my alarms! Then to make things worse as you would expect London was pretty warm so I was extremely hot so my usual make up routine was thrown out of the window the stuff just wouldn’t stay on my face… so I had to make sure i had cleansed and dried my face to perfection and kept all the windows open to assure my make up would go on as normal as possible… in the end it always did.
  4. On the train back to Glasgow the carriage Virgin assigned to our school the air-conditioning was broken .. so “despite their many efforts they couldn’t rectify the problem” …. yeah sure all they did was hand out luke-warm bottles of crap water whilst we were all sweating and baking in the oven they called a carriage for nearly five hours! Our only solace was taking a trip into the other sections of the train which were freezing cold in comparison!!!
  5. Overall the trip was one of the best things I have ever done so all these negatives don’t even matter as the actual worst part of the trip was going home … I had soo much fun and dream of one day going back to London on my own (without the school maybe just with friends kind of alone) It was extraordinary and I highly recommend a trip to London! I would love to live there one day πŸ˜„

Top 7 Favourite YouTubers!!!

Hey!!! It’s me again – I told you I would post more regularly!!! πŸ˜‹ So today I thought I would finally get around to doing a post that I was asked t do AGESSSS AGOOOO!!!!! To be honest the person who asked me to do this probably doesn’t remember and no longer cares but oh well I will just do it anyway!!!πŸ˜‚ Hope you enjoy!

1. Sprinlke of Glitter

  • Also known as Louise Pentland, she makes videos about beauty, lifestyle and fashion. I feel such a connection with her as I can totally relate with everything she talks about and her personality is so kind and seems really genuine. I admire her confidence – booth in her own skin and just in general – I hope I can one day be a fraction as confident as she is!! What I love about her is she is hilarious, has great advice and is beautiful inside and out. Finally, when she vlogs there are just my absolute favourite thing to watch!!

2. Gabriella Lindley

Β Β

  • I can’t even describe how much I adore Gabriella she is such a funny, pretty and normal kind of girl. Plus she loves pretty little liars and Disney so she’s just perfection πŸ˜‚ She aslo makes beauty, lifestyle and fashion videos as well as having an amazing vlogging channel. I think she’s such a lovely person and dream of meeting her 😍 she recently uploaded her first ever music cover and it was AMMAAAZZZINGGGGG!!!!!! Which adds to the many reasons why I love her – her makeup is always great, she edits her videos really nicely and she is very relatable.

3. Zoella

Β Β

  • OF COURSEEEE!!!!!!!!! How can you not like Zoe, I admit I didn’t always like her or any beauty YouTuber to be honest as in the past I was not that in to makeup etc. But omg Zoe is just goals!!! I love her relationship with her boyfriend Alfie, I love and desperately want their Pug called Nala and her beauty range is to die for!!! I still can’t believe it but I actually meet her ….. Well for like two seconds when she signed my copy of her first book, Girl Online, it was literally the best day ever πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ I love how brave and happy she always is because dealing with anxiety and panic attacks on top of YouTube stress and being a celebrity must be bloody hard which I don’t think the “haters” give her enough credit for – and any other YouTuber for that matter!

4. Beckie0

Β

  • She is a less well known YouTuber and makes videos about her awful condition called Trichotillomania (stress etc causing extreme hair pulling out) which really make me admire and empathise with her. She also talks about beauty and lifestyle and much more from lush hauls, favoutite films and my favourite videos of hers to watch are Q and A’s!!! She is always a so uplifting and funny person to watch!!!

5. Saccone-Joly’s

Β

  • This is an Irish family of vloggers who now live in London. They post vlogs everyday which is the best part!!! The husband is called Jonathan the wife is called Anna, the daughter is called Emilia and their son is called Eduardo they are such a sweet family and allways get up to such fun and interesting to watch kind of things. They have six dogs which are far toooooo cute!!!!!! I think I love watching them so much because I would really love to one day have such an amazing family and yeah they just make everyday that little bit better πŸ˜†πŸ˜

6. Alfie Deyes

Β

  • He is Zoella’s boyfriend and makes really funny videos that just cheer me up all the time. I love his childish and naive nature and he seems like a really awesome person! I love his trying American candy videos and all of his weird challenge videos. I also really like his and Zoe’s Sims videos as I am ADDICTED to the Sims 4!! He also makes really good vlogs as they are pretty much my favourite kind of video to watch.

7. Eve Bennett

Β

  • She is a less famous YouTuber, but I still absolutely love her. She makes lots of beauty videos from makeup tutorials to hauls and lifestyle videos like what’s on my iPhone and room tours. I just love her bubbly personality and I’m sure she will soon grow to be a much more well known YouTuber. She is so talented at the whole YouTube thing and is great at makeup as well as the fact she loves the exact same kinds of clothes as me πŸ˜„

So there you go hope you liked finding out whose videos I obsess over!!! πŸ˜† I highly recommend you check out each and every one of these people because I love them all soooo much!!!!! There are so many more people I wold love to talk about but if I didn’t narrow it down to only 7 there would be hundreds!!! Β Who are your favourite YouTubers? Do we have any that are the same? Also, do you have any recommendations for me as I LOVE finding new YouTubers to watch!!!

Thank you all so much for 200+ followers!!!! Don’t know how that happened!!! Don’t forget to give this a like, comment down below and follow to be the first inline for my next posts! 😜

Duke Of EdinburghΒ

Check Out My Last Post!!! ⬅️⬅️ Liebster Award!!!⬅️⬅️

Okay … so I said I would post on Monday but obviously I’m awfull and forgot it was my Duke Of Edinburgh ( DofE for short ) expedition that week and then I fell ill last week so I was trying to do absolutely nothing!πŸ˜†

Then I thought why not write a post about my DofE expedition!!! So I hope you guys enjoy this and don’t find this boring!

Overview

Basically, if you don’t know what Duke Of Edinburgh is, it’sΒ programmes are at three progressive levels which, if successfully completed, lead to a Bronze (I’m doing bronze at the minute), Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awardselect and set objectives in each of the following areas:

  • Volunteering: undertaking service to individuals or the communityΒ  – I worked in a charity shop on a Saturday for 3 hours for 6 months.
  • Physical: improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities – I joined the badminton club at my school at practiced once a week for 3 monthsΒ
  • Skills: developing practical and social skills and personal interests – I learnt to cook and bake things I haven’t before for 3 months.
  • Expedition: planning, training for and completion of – for bronze – a one night camping trip in the countryside – we went to Aberfoyle

  • At Gold level, participants must do an additional fifthΒ ResidentialΒ section, which involves staying and working away from home doing a shared activity.

To achieve an award, you must work on each section for a minimum period of time, and must be monitored and assessed by someone with knowledge of the chosen activities. Each progressive level demands more time and commitment from participants: Bronze 3–6 months; Silver: 6–9 months; Gold: 12–18 months and you need to do each section for at least one hour a week.Β

My Experience Β

Β Β

I’m participating in DofE as part of a team at my school lead by our geography teacher and it has about 20 people Β from my year in it.

  • Firstly, for volunteering every Saturday I would go to my local Cancer Research UK charity shop and volunteer from from 11:00 till 14:00 and I would do something different t almost every time I went there! My title was stockroom assistant but I did much more than that 😝 … I did help out in the back room by putting out stock, looking through donations, doing work on the computer and sorting out stock into their own baskets ( like tops into their own basket , men’s trousers in their own one etc..) Also I would help out in the shop too by tidying up, sorting shells and helping on the till. But the best thing I did was go to the supermarket a few minutes walk from the charity shop and stand outside it and have the little donatin tin and sell pins and braclets – it was such a great experience! It felt good to be helping a charity and also give me good work experience- I would definitely recommend this as a good thing to do if you want to do DofE or just want more life/work experience.Β
  • Then for the physical, I chose to go to a badminton club on a Monday after school. It was actually not as bad as I first thought it would be, as it turned out quite fun and I achieved my goal of learning how to ‘serve’ so that made it really good 😜 but I have to say it took a lot for me to stay at school on a Monday for an extra hour to do physical exercise when all I wanted to do was go home and that’s what all of my friends were doing … But thankfully I managed to complete it!!!Β
  • Then for skills, I got my dad who is a chef to teach me how to cook/bake new and tasty things every weekend. I started off – for baking – really easy with cupcakes and brownies and then progressed to macaroons which were hard but really fun and so yummy!!! Also – for cooking – I started off with homemade bread and then protested to a full meal of chicken curry and a chicken stir fry and lots of other things! ( as you can see my favourite kind of meal always involve chicken πŸ˜‚ ) It’s really good as I actually think this will really help me when I’m older as I used to not have a clue how to actually cook a meal but now I’m pretty confident I can make something quite tasty and healthy!Β
  • Finally, for the expedition my group went to are really gorgeous part of Aberfoyle in Scotland. What we had to do was walk for six hours through hills and horrible terrain to this castle were we would set up camp, then cook our dinner, pee in the trees and then get up and walk for another six hours Β all of this was with a huge backpack on our backs with everything we needed in them …. then it was over πŸ˜‹ I was sharing a tent with two really nice girls who I don’t usually talk to but were literally so nice ☺️ During the first days walk, I spent the time being the slow ones at the back with a nice girl and her boyfriend so we all just made each other laugh and had a good time which made time go faster! When we got to the campsite I helped put up the tent but I was horrendous but I’m sure will improve 😭😳 …. Maybe πŸ˜“ ….. Then the dreaded thing happened ……. I need the toilet 😱😱😲😲😨😨😳😳😩😩πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜πŸ˜ ….. So my leader told me to walk along this path and pick a spot (far enough away that they couldn’t see me obviously) …. Yeah that’s right I said path ……. A path I saw a couple walking on not to long ago ….. I quite frankly wanted to die at this point so I took my packet of Despicable Me 2 minion tissues ( because yeah I’m classy like that πŸ’πŸΌ) and my strawberry laces flavoured hand sanitizer (because I’m such a two year old πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ) and got down to business beside the biggest tee I could find quite far along this PATH and beside a massive stone that I used as 1- a table and 2- something to hold onto …… It was one of the strangest and hardest things I’ve ever done and let’s leave it at that …. All I can say is I massively missed my real toilet! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸš½ Also, we had such a laugh that night it’s that kind of funny where you can’t ever explain it to anyone not even yourself once it’s over, then we add hot chocolate that night which was heaven and heat us up fort like a second Β and then I went to bed. We frezzed … Literally I was shivering and my teeth were chattering during the night and when in the morning we reluctantly got up we found out why we we so bloody cold…. The ground and our tent was covered in a thick layer of frost and icy coldness …. which made the tent damp …..and then my sleeping bag touched then sides of the tent ….. which made my sleeping bag damp….. Β so basically I was having the night of my life πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ but we got heated up when we started walking again. It was oiling hot … I got sunburn on my face😑 …. That’s crazy Scottish weather for you … When the end was in sight we were literally hobbling through the forest and our feet, backs and everything was in extrem pain but it all changed when we saw our white mini bus that would drive us home…something whitin us kicked in and we literally sprinted to the bus … Many selfies and high fives were exchanged with my group 😝 what made it really special was that these people weren’t my “friends” at school in the real sense of the word but they were amazingΒ on those two days that we spent together … Sounds stupid… They probably didn’t really care I was there or anything but they were just nice that all πŸ˜†Β

To top the day of when we arrived back at school the whole group hobbled of the bus, in extreme pain, with hunched back, blistered feet and with a new favourite word for every step they took “Ouch …owww… oww!!” ….. I had to walk home … And we had to take our huge backpacks home with everything still in them …. This caused pain when walking home and made me look extremely stupid!!!! πŸ˜–πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

Β

But when I got home I went for the nicest bath with a lush Easter egg bath bomb which was just brilliant and my parents get me a Domminoes Pizza for my dinner so was happy πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

This expedition was just a practice for the real one in June which I’m super excited and nervous for!!! If you ever get the opportunity to do Duke of Edinburgh then I strongly recommend you do as it helps you I so many different ways and is really good fun!!! I had such a great time and it made me apreciate my bed, my heating and most of all … My toilet! πŸ˜‚Β

Has anyone done DofE before or doing it now and what’s your experience been like?? If you have any questions about it feel free to ask in the comments below as I would be happy to answer them and please give this a like and if you haven’t already give me a follow …. I have 150 …. How … That’s so goo!!! …. My goal is 200 …. When I started this I didn’t expect one person to read this so thanks a lot guys!!Β

Hope you enjoyed this different kind of post … I will try two posts this week to make up for my bad posting recently!!!Β

Yours,Β

Fangirling Owl
